Raith Seniors entertained St Johnstone at the Micheal woods looking to get back to winning ways after the poor performance against last Fife and once again they started slow and went behind to a fantastic strike by Peter Gormley but the Raith lads didnt let there head drop and within 5 minutes were 2-1 after goals from Kevin Mercer and Mark Anderson and 10 minutes later a St Johnstone equalised witgh a debatable offisde goal squaring it up 2-2 after 35 minutes. This appeared to spur on Raith again and within 10 minutes another goal from Mark Anderson and a wonder strike from Kev Mercer had Raith Seniors up by 4-2 at half time.
The second half was a one sided affair with the Raith playing some wonderful passing football and ripped St Johnstone apart with Mark Anderson completing his hatrick and Linsay Mcellan firing in tow goals and Calum Watson coming on for the final 15 minutes also getting on the score sheet despite missing several easier opportunites to give Raith an even bigger lead.
Raith Keeper Jim Harvey was only called in to action once int the second half pulling out on wonderful save from a cross that was heading in to the top corner but manged to tip it over the bar before colliding with the post.
Raith 8-2 St Johnstone
