Raith entertained Rangers FFIT at Michael Woods on a sunny February afternoon. Rangers stepped in at the last minute to replace a local amateur side that forgot they had a fixture already. Raith welcomed Paul Browne in to the squad for the first time in the place of Paul Dera.
Raith took the lead after 7 mins with Andi Gordon firing home and quickly doubled their lead when Mark Anderson fired home after 10 minutes however Raith took the foot off the gas and some slack defending allowed Rangers to be back on level terms after another quick fire double after 22 and 26 mins.
Jim Harvey still on the touchline due to injury changed things about and brought Alan Roberts on for his first game this year which saw Raith continue to push forward and with a brace from Mark Anderson after 30 and 33 mins fired Raith back in to a convincing 4-2 lead and Alan Roberts fired in just before Half time to give Raith a 5-2 lead

With half time instructions of "get the next goal" Raith came out with their tails up and went straight at Rangers, after missing some easy opportunities it took 10 mins in to the 2nd half for Raith to extend their with Alan Roberts scoring his 2nd of the match.
Raith continued to push forward and after 68 minutes Mark Anderson scored his 4th of the match and scored 2 minutes later to put Raith 8-2 up and scoring his 5th of the match.
In the last 10 minutes Raith defensive went to sleep again allowing Rangers to score 2 more goals before they fired a last minute penalty over the bar.
